Information
Nestled in the heart of the Rhône Valley, the parcels of Marsanne and Roussanne are planted on steep slopes of clay-limestone and sandy, pebbly soils. This terroir provides excellent drainage and freshness, while full southern exposure lends structure and complexity to the wines. The grapes are hand-harvested and pressed immediately to limit oxidation. Fermentation occurs spontaneously, followed by ageing on fine lees with regular stirring of the lees for about ten months.
In the glass, the wine shows a bright, pale yellow hue with golden glints, a sign of fine maturity. The nose is complex, combining ripe pear, almond and honey notes with subtle touches of vanilla and lightly smoked brioche. The palate opens broad and generous, harmoniously balancing fullness and freshness. The suave texture is lifted by an elegant mineral tension, while ripe fruit density remains finely poised.
