Information
Situated in the heart of Anjou, the Cabernet Franc vines grow on dark schist soils interlaced with sandstone and quartz, a hallmark of this Loire terroir. These well-drained soils compel the vines to root deeply, yielding fruit with pronounced mineral expression, vibrant tension and concentrated aromatics. Manual harvests are followed by strict sorting at peak ripeness. Fermentation takes place in vats with native yeasts and no added inputs, in keeping with a pure natural winemaking approach. Ageing is carried out in seasoned vessels with no new oak, preserving the transparency of both fruit and site.
In the glass, the wine reveals an intense ruby hue with garnet glints. The generous and refined nose delivers red and black fruit aromas accented by a floral touch of rose, sweet spice and a light mineral touch. On the palate, a generous, velvety attack is carried by bright freshness. Tannins are fine, the texture supple yet structured, and the long finish reveals layered floral complexity.
