Information
The Les Vignes Blanches climat lies on the slopes of Pernand-Vergelesses, a village nestled at the foot of the Corton Hill. The predominantly white-limestone soils, mixed with light clay marl, bring tension and minerality to the wine. At 300 metres in altitude, with east- and north-east-facing exposure, the site encourages slow, steady ripening. Renowned for his finely chiselled, micro-scale, natural bottlings, Nicolas Faure vinifies with as little intervention as possible. The hand-harvested grapes ferment naturally with native yeasts, and the wine is then aged for 12 months in 228-litre Burgundy barrels (pièces)
The pale yellow hue reveals delicate, bright silver glints. The lively, pure nose offers citrus, white flowers and crisp pear. On the palate, a fresh, taut attack opens onto a fine, chiselled texture, leading into a saline, stony finish.
