Information
Nestled in Husseren-les-Châteaux, this estate?–?renowned for its pioneering biodynamic practices and natural vinification?–?unveils a singular, expressive Pinot Gris. The vines grow on sun-drenched slopes at the foot of the Vosges, rooted in marl-limestone and sandstone soils. After manual harvests, the grapes are pressed and ferment with native yeasts. The wine is then aged for nine months on the lees in cask, before bottling without filtration and with no added sulphur.
The golden hue is clear and bright. The rich, expressive nose shows ripe yellow fruit lifted by hints of honey and floral notes. The palate is ample and generous, carried by a superb mineral backbone that leads into a persistent finish oscillating between moreish fruit and refreshing lift.
