Information
The Chardonnay vines behind this wine rise along gently sloping hillsides with south-west exposure, benefiting from balanced sunlight right in the heart of the prestigious Corton-Charlemagne terroir. This Grand Cru, straddling Aloxe-Corton, Ladoix-Serrigny and Pernand-Vergelesses, reaches around 280 metres in altitude and rests on marl-limestone soils rich in clay and scattered stones. After manual harvests, the grapes ferment spontaneously in oak casks. Vinification concludes with 18 months of careful ageing in barriques, with 20% new oak.
In the glass, the pale yellow hue is bright and clear. The bouquet delivers intense, complex aromas of ripe citrus, pear and acacia flowers, lifted by notes of fresh butter, roasted hazelnut and chalky minerality. The palate is ample and structured, combining richness with precision, its dense texture perfectly balanced by a lively salinity.
