Information
The Chambolle-Musigny appellation lies in the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. Its Premiers Crus, such as Les Fremières, constitute parcels recognised for their exceptional quality. The Pinot Noir vines, planted on clay-limestone soils in 1934 and 1935, cover just over half a hectare. In the winery, the hand-harvested grapes are vinified in the pure Burgundian tradition. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out with native yeasts, and the wine is then aged in oak casks, with 20% new wood, for 16 months.
The wine reveals a striking deep ruby hue. The bouquet offers ripe red fruit, such as cherry and raspberry, interlaced with violet and rose, lifted by a gentle touch of spice. On the palate, a fresh attack opens onto delicate tannins, leading into a fruit-driven, generous finish with a slight touch of oak.
