Information
Barolo is considered one of the world’s finest red wines. Born in the heart of the Langhe, it is made exclusively from Nebbiolo, a demanding grape that reflects its terroir with power and grace. The Annunziata cru, located in La Morra, is among the most renowned for the finesse and elegance of its wines and is widely regarded as an unofficial Grand Cru. Following manual harvests, the grapes undergo spontaneous fermentation during a long maceration of 3–4 weeks. The wine is then aged for 4–6 years in large Slavonian oak tuns with no new wood, preserving the purity of the terroir.
The wine displays an intense garnet hue that will develop tile-red highlights with age. The refined bouquet reveals dried rose, violet, black cherry and sweet spice, alongside touches of leather and cocoa. On the palate, a broad, structured profile is carried by lively acidity and racy tannins. The remarkable balance of power and elegance culminates in a long, persistent finish.
