Information
La Cuvée des Archives is crafted from Chardonnay grapes from the Côte des Blancs, complemented by Pinot Noir from the Vallée de la Marne. This combination brings finesse, mineral tension and structure to the wine. Careful, plot-by-plot harvesting ensures only the best grapes are selected. Alcoholic fermentation takes place with native yeasts. Malolactic fermentation is blocked to preserve freshness and tension. The Champagne is then aged on the lees in casks for around thirty months.
In the glass, the pale golden hue reveals a fine, persistent bead. The bouquet offers intense aromas of ripe apple, pear, delicate brioche, roasted hazelnut and honey. On the palate, a broad, textured attack is balanced by crisp acidity, a generous mid-palate and saline tension, leading into a long, spicy, sapid finish.
