Information
This Barolo embodies the elegance and power of the most legendary cru of Serralunga d’Alba. Drawn from a parcel of just under one hectare, planted on Serravallian marl-limestone soils, it gains mineral depth and remarkable structure from this terroir. The estate, which covers just over thirty-two hectares, tends its vines carefully under a reasoned approach. The Nebbiolo grapes are harvested by hand, then undergo long fermentations in stainless-steel vats. The wine is subsequently aged for over three years in large oak foudres (large tuns), followed by an extended period of bottle maturation.
The wine reveals a bright and clear deep garnet hue. The nose offers notes of faded rose, black cherry, tobacco and fine spice. On the palate, a broad, precise and persistent profile is carried by elegant, well-integrated tannins, leading into a saline, beautifully long finish offering impressive ageing potential.
