Un climat chaud et une vinification longue et soignée ont donné un vin fin, élégant mais riche. More info

Unlike the other cuvées, this one is grown in a warmer site, located north of Vienne on the left bank of the Rhône. It is sustainably cultivated and harvested by hand. Its grapes are destemmed and cold-macerated in thermoregulated stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts. The wine is matured for 18 months in barrique barrels, with 20% new wood in the first year. As a result of this climate and vinification method, this wine is darker, deeper and more intense. We discover in turn aromas of blackcurrant and violet, but also black olive and subtle touches of vanilla. It is a refined, elegant yet rich wine with tannins that will round out over time. An excellent cuvée to be enjoyed with a honey-roasted duck breast.

IGP Collines Rhodaniennes L'Ame Soeur Syrah de Seyssuel Michel et Stéphane Ogier serve at a temperature of 16°C. It will pair perfectly with the following dishes: Lard paysan et pommes de terre , Entrecôte de boeuf Wagyu, Magret de canard au miel.

Information about domain Stéphane Ogier

As this domain on the hillsides of Ampuis has been in the family for seven generations, it was perfectly natural for Stéphane Ogier to take over from his father Michel. Having learned his craft in Burgundy, he has decided to produce single parcel wines to achieve the best expression of each terroir. He also strives constantly for elegance and finesse. Today, the vines are planted on 27 hectares of granite and shale soil and cultivated sustainably. Tillage, organic treatments, no yeast and a short maceration process are the watchwords.
