More info

After a total destemming in order to preserve the intensity of the fruit, there is a maturation of 18 months in demi-muids in order to bring out all the cru’s finesse. After some time, the nose becomes very expressive and supple with some pleasant hints of tobacco. On the nose, the wine has intense aromas of candied fruit and cloves. On the palate, a luscious texture joins with its aromatic bouquet. It rounds off with a fresh finish and has excellent ageing potential.

About the Producer Stéphane Ogier

As this estate on the hillsides of Ampuis has been in the family for seven generations, it was perfectly natural for Stéphane Ogier to take over from his father Michel in 1997. Having learned his craft in Burgundy, he has decided to produce single-plot wines to achieve the best expression of each terroir. He also strives constantly for elegance and finesse. Today, the vines are planted on 27 hectares of granite and shale soil. Viticulture is conducted according to sustainable principles. Two distinct terroirs define the estate’s identity: the Côte Brune and the Côte Blonde, both shaped by a relatively cool climate. Since 2015, the estate operates in an ultramodern winery, equipped with over 600 barriques, ensuring precision in both vinification and ageing. Today, Stéphane Ogier’s wines clearly belong among the elite, thanks to his unwavering pursuit of excellence driven by passion, ambition, talent, and creativity.
