Domain: Cosse-Maisonneuve Matthieu Cosse – who also manages the well-known château La Coste in Provence – has been running the Cosse-Maisonneuve domaine with Catherine Maisonneuve since 1999. The 17-hectare vineyard is cultivated biodynamically (with Demeter certification). The vines are mostly made up of Malbec, with some Merlot and Tannat. In the winery, work is done with the same philosophy as in the vineyard: vinifications are as natural as possible (with indigenous yeasts, no fining or filtration, and long, well-controlled élevage). This domain, whose wines impress with their personality and fruitiness, is now a member of the Cahors appellation elite.
