The Nebbiolo vines, nestling in Langhe in the heart of Piedmont, are carefully cultivated, with an emphasis on very low vine yields, to ensure high quality grapes. To ensure perfect balance and ideal ripening conditions for the grapes, each vine is fertilised naturally. The grapes are entirely hand-picked when they reach peak ripeness. In the winery, the musts ferment in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature. Lastly, 70% of the cuvée is matured gently in used barrels and 30% in new barrels. After blending, the wine is aged for a final eight months in steel vats.
The deep red colour reveals an expressive bouquet characterised by aromas of black fruit, spices and wood. The depth on the palate reveals a velvety texture where tannins melt beautifully, leading to a long, concentrated finish.
