The wine
This Fleurie is produced from vines aged between 20 and 70 years planted on a plot of under two hectares. After ageing in oak foudres, the wine has a silky and indulgent texture and a backbone of nicely blended and delicate tannins. It will keep for some years in the cellar.
About the Producer Famille Dutraive
Domaine de le Grand’Cor is owned by the Dutraive family. Their Gamay is produced under the Fleurie and the Brouilly appellations. The domain covers 11.7 hectacres and has held organic certification since 2009. Jean-Louis Dutraive does everything he can to allow the terroir be reflected in his wines. He vinifies without the use of sulfites and at low temperatures. He also uses natural yeasts and carbonic maceration. His wines are natural and are neither filtered nor clarified. It is a domain that has now established itself amongst the best that Beaujolais has to offer.
