More info

Discover the essence of Corsica with Tranoï, a 100% Vermentino cuvée. Crafted by Thomas Santamaria, the sixth generation to manage the family vineyard, this wine showcases the charm of the Patrimonio appellation. The estate covers 13 hectares west of Furiani, some 25 kilometres southwest of Bastia, with most parcels nestled near the tranquil Padula Lake. This large body of water imparts a distinct minerality and refreshing character to the wines. The soils, rich in limestone and schist, are cultivated using certified organic farming methods, with Thomas increasingly incorporating biodynamic practices in the vineyard.
In the winery, after hand-harvesting, the Tranoï cuvée undergoes vinification and ageing in stainless steel tanks. The fermentation process is triggered by native yeasts. Depending on the vintage, the wine matures for 9 to 18 months, developing its unique profile.
