Côtes du Jura Entre Deux Buronfosse 2013
The wine
Just next to well-known property of Jean-François Ganevat, Peggy and Jean-Pascal Buronfosse are two exacting winegrowers who produce very pure, natural wines. Two complementary plots of marl and limestone planted with Savagnin Jaune and Savagnin Vert, both from massal selection from Jean-François Ganevat, and topping up of the barrels during ageing, result in this Savagnin cuvée "Entre Deux".
About the Producer Buronfosse
Peggy and Jean-Pascal Buronfosse are two exacting winemakers making pure and very natural wines. The domain (situated just next door to that of the famous Jean-François Ganevat) is small and entirely organic: their 5 hectares is laid out to Chardonnay and Savignin for the whites (90% of their production) and Pinot Noir, Poulsard and Trousseau for the reds. In the winery they try to interfere as little as possible with nature. The wines from Domaine Buronfosse are subsequently an honest and elegant expression of their terroir with plenty of character. A true rising star of the Jura.
