Lot presentation

Châteauneuf-du-Pape Réserve Coralie et Floriane Domaine de Pignan 2010

The wine

This highly complex Châteauneuf-du-Pape is this domain's special cuvée, produced from an equal-parts blend of Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. The grapes come from vines aged between 80-130 years old, giving low yields and phenomenal concentration. This translates in the wine with great aromatic intensity, rich in fleshy, ripe and spiced notes. Made for cellaring, it will reward several years’ patience. Serve at room temperature, alongside red meat or mature cheese.

About the Producer Domaine de Pignan

Domaine de Pigan, in Châteauneuf du Pape, was created in 1855 by Antoine and Sophie Pécoul. It was handed over from generation to generation, and the vineyard has progressively grown. Frédéric Charvin has managed the 15-hectare domain since 1989, with a portion of very old vines.
