Pouilly-Fuissé Sur la Roche is produced from a plot of approximately fifty-year-old vines, located on the high slopes of the Roche de Vergisson. The limestone-heavy soil gives the wine a pristine minerality.
About the Producer Jacques et Nathalie Saumaize
Domaine Saumaize now covers just over 8 hectares in Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran and Mâcon-Bussières. Respectful of their terroir (ploughing, compost, vineyard work, no insecticides), Jacques and Nathalie Saumaize produce wines with a solid reputation in the Mâconnais. A must-see!
