About the Producer Dominique Cornin

Domaine Dominique Cornin masterfully combines time-honoured traditions with innovative winemaking practices. For several years now, Dominique has been joined by his son, Romain, a young winemaker determined to follow in his father’s footsteps with the same profound respect for the land. Situated in Chaintré, near the town of Mâcon in southern Burgundy, the estate’s 10 hectares are cultivated according to biodynamic principles and hold organic certification. Since 1998, the vast majority of soils across the vineyard are ploughed, with the complete elimination of chemical inputs. Today, the estate's trusty horse Cocinelle works in the vineyard. Harvesting is done entirely by hand. In the winery, the philosophy remains true to nature with low-intervention vinification and fermentation unfolds naturally using native yeasts. The wines age from 12 to 24 months in French oak barriques, resting on fine lees. This careful maturation produces delicate and elegant wines worthy of your immediate attention.
