Intensity
A dry white pleasant on the palate, with a subtle acidity and superb aromatic expression.
More infoAligoté, a descendant of Pinot Noir just like Chardonnay, has been present in Burgundy since the 17th century. The grape variety is planted on the finest terroirs in the region from Chablis to the Mâconnais. The compact, medium-sized bunches adapt to a variety of climates and soil types, and reflect all the qualities of the terroir perfectly. Once harvested, the grapes undergo a traditional, low-intervention winemaking process to let the terroir and grape variety develop their full aromas and personality naturally.
The pale yellow, slightly golden colour offers a delightful bouquet with an incomparable range of white-fleshed fruit aromas and floral touches. On the palate, a burst of freshness combines beautifully with saline notes enhanced by fine acidity, leading to a fruity, lingering finish. Delightful and delicious in its youth, this 100% Aligoté can easily be cellared for a few years.
