More infoGamay is an ancient grape variety that takes its name from a small Burgundy village in the Côte de Beaune, Saint-Aubin. Today, Gamay is reputed to be one of the most iconic grape varieties of the Mâconnais region. Highly fertile and productive, it is cultivated as naturally as possible to produce authentic, flavoursome terroir wines. Once harvested, the grapes are meticulously sorted on a sorting table and vinified in the purest Burgundian tradition, with as little intervention as possible. Sulphur is also kept to a minimum.
The rich colour with hints of purple reveals a spellbinding bouquet of black fruit, morello cherries and spices with a mineral undertone. The rich, perfectly balanced palate displays indulgent notes of red and black fruit, leading to a flavoursome, persistent finish. This cuvée promises excellent ageing potential.
