The perfect combination of red fruit, delicate floral aromas, citrus notes - a delight of freshness!
More infoRomain le Bars blends Grenache, Carignan and Mourvèdre in equal proportions to produce his Lirac rosé. These grape varieties undergo direct pressing, then ferment (using native yeasts) and age in casks and demi-muids (600-litre barrels). As is customary at the estate, a trace amount of sulphites is added at bottling.
Although the wine is aged entirely in wood, the oakiness is not noticeable in the aromatic profile. As with all other vintages, the balance is remarkable, combining freshness with flawless ripeness. The wine reveals a generous array of red fruits (with strawberries taking the lead), a profusion of floral notes and perfectly balanced citrus accents, mainly grapefruit.
This rosé offers a complex and seductive harmony, subtly expressing the characteristics of each grape variety, providing a refined taste experience. Romain le Bars demonstrates his talent once again for crafting wines of great finesse and expressiveness, where elegance and freshness combine with taste and quality.

About the Producer Romain Le Bars
Having honed his skills for seven years at Domaine de l’Anglore with the Pfifferling family, he eventually started making his own wine in 2018. At the time, his place of choice was Tavel, in the southern Rhône, where he purchased just 1.20 ha planted with Grenache and Syrah. There, he started producing his wines in his garage, and his two cuvées, Tavel and Vin de France, quickly caught the attention of connoisseurs.
And with good reason! Everything is carried out with meticulous care to craft the finest wines: low yields, manual harvests, low-intervention in the winery, very low doses of sulphur, gentle infusion-style extraction (a technique he mastered at Domaine de l’Anglore to showcase the fruit), carbonic maceration, and barrique ageing in used vessels.
Today, Romain’s success is there for everyone to see. He now owns 11 hectares of vines, with a far broader range of grape varieties, and has established a proper winery. Romain le Bars embodies the new wave of Rhône winemakers and promises a bright future for the region. Definitely one to keep a close eye on!
