The wine
This cuvée is Merlot dominated although there is a touch of Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon to give structure. The wine reveals a rich and complex bouquet of fruit, wood and leather. The finish is long and persistent while the tannic structure makes it ideal for ageing.
About the Producer Lafleur du Roy
Yvon and Pâquerette Dubost worked in vine nurseries before creating their own domain Château Lafleur du Roy in 1958. This family property spans four hectares and the south-west facing vines are blessed with a lot of sunshine. Chemical products are forbidden and the Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are done by hand.
