The wine

This Vosne-Romanée En Orveaux boasts a wonderful nose, clear and powerful with aromas of mild spices and black fruit. On the palate it offers richness, concentration and strength, it has body and length. This is a wine which needs to be cellar-aged for a few years and it pairs well with delicately flavoured meats (poultry and veal).

About the Producer Sylvain Cathiard & Fils

The origins of the Domaine Sylvain Cathiard et Fils date back to the 1920s when Alfred Cathiard began to acquire the first parcels of vines in Vosne. The wine heritage of the family is very prestigious with very fine plots of Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée, Chambolle-Musigny and Romanée-St-Vivant. The domaine is now managed by Sylvain Cathiard and his son Sébastien. Their wines are of a very high quality and are almost impossible to find in France. They are characterised in particular by their great finesse and their harmony.
