Alto Adige DOC Ebeneich Manincor 2023

Situated at the cultural crossroads of Italy and Austria, Alto Adige is one of Italy’s oldest appellations, established in 1975. This Alpine wine region is defined by its dual identity: Germanic through its history, Italian by its geography, and unmistakably Alpine in character. Ebeneich stems from vines on the south-east-facing slopes surrounding Lake Caldaro, at an altitude of around 300 metres. The grapes are harvested by hand in small crates once they have reached optimum ripeness. Spontaneous fermentation takes place in oak casks, before the wine is aged on fine lees for 18 months in 300-litre oak barrels.
The wine displays a beautiful clear yellow hue. The expressive, complex bouquet combines aromas of ripe pear, acacia honey, dried flowers and citrus peel, underpinned by delicate smoky notes and a refined mineral character. Broad and enveloping on the palate, it is lifted by a silky texture and vibrant limestone minerality.
