Bourgogne Aligoté Sur la rue des pierres Marthe Henry 2022

Historically planted on less favoured sites, Aligoté is now enjoying a well-deserved revival in the hands of exacting growers such as Marthe Henry, who seek to express the freshness, minerality and authenticity of Burgundian terroirs. Sourced from parcels planted on shallow limestone-marl soils rich in stones and gravel, this wine draws its distinctive mineral character from its exceptional terroir. In the winery, slow, gentle pressing preserves the full aromatic integrity of the fruit. Fermentation begins naturally with native yeasts, without the addition of any oenological inputs, favouring a faithful expression of both the vintage and the terroir. The wine is then aged on fine lees for 12 months in seasoned casks without stirring.
The wine shows a clear, brilliant pale yellow hue. The expressive, elegant nose reveals aromas of preserved lemon, green apple and white flowers, complemented by a subtle flinty note. On the palate, it is lively, direct and mouthwatering on the first sip.
