Lot presentation
Château Recougne 1970
The wine
The wine is vinified in concrete and stainless steel vats, then matured in vats and oak barrels. Maturation lasts an average of 16 months. On tasting, Château Recougne presents a bouquet of red berries and a licorice attack, marked by toasted notes. A concentrated wine, with good keeping potential.
About the Producer Château Recougne
Located on the slopes of Fronsac, 5 kilometres from Pomerol, Château Recougne is owned by the Milhade family, who are wine merchants in Galgon. The vines are planted in a clay-silica soil, on a thin layer of iron residues. The property has undergone major renovation work since the end of the 20th century, with the installation of a sorting table, temperature control, a pneumatic press and automatic pumping-over equipment.
