Vin de Savoie Chignin-Bergeron Verticale Louis Magnin 2013

The wine

The domain produces this parcel-based cuvée using biodynamic cultivation, harvesting by hand, whole-bunch pressing, malolactic fermentation and élevage on fine lees in stainless steel tanks. On tasting, the wine reveals a pale yellow colour and a bouquet of notes of honey, peach and white flowers. The palate has great balance, combining a meaty texture and a great mineral character.

This 8-hectare family domain is located in the heart of Savoy, in Arbin in the Combe de Savoie valley. Domain Louis Magnin boasts the perfect terroir for growing perfectly ripe grapes. The soils of clay-limestone scree, south-east facing slopes and the organic viticulture allow the grapes to express their full potential. Jacquère, Gamay, Mondeuse for the reds; Altesse, Roussette de Savoie, Roussanne for the whites.
