This Morgon is an elegant, structured wine combining fresh red fruit, refined tannins and mineral tension, offering an authentic expression of its terroir.
More infoMorgon is one of the Beaujolais appellation’s ten crus, renowned for producing powerful and age-worthy wines. The vines, on average 50 years old, thrive on alluvial clay soils. Manual harvests are carried out with care in mid-September. In the winery, traditional vinification is conducted using whole clusters, followed by a long vatting period of 13 days. The wine is then aged for 10 months in concrete vats before bottling.
In the glass, the ruby hue is bright and clear. The nose is intense and expressive, revealing fresh red fruit aromas such as cherry and raspberry, lifted by floral notes of violet and subtle spiced nuances. On the palate, a firm, precise attack leads into fine, well-integrated tannins supported by bright acidity, carrying through to a fresh, persistent finish.
About the Producer Louis-Claude Desvignes
