Autriche Kracher TBA N°9 Chardonnay Nouvelle Vague 1998
The wine
This sweet Chardonnay has been vinified and matured in new wood for 18 months. Its nose progressively reveals notes of sweet spice from its time in the barrel and notes of citrus peel from the overripe Chardonnay. Its creamy texture and aromatic persistence make it a delicious partner to seasoned and strongly flavoured dishes.
About the Producer Kracher
The Kracher domaine has earned an international reputation for the quality and sophistication of its sweet wines and has become the standard bearer for Austrian vineyards. Three generations of winegrowers have worked since 1928 to produce consistently excellent sweet wines. It is located close to Neusiedl lake where the climate is propitious to the formation of noble rot. There is a wide range of wines and different vinifications are offered, even for wines of similar sweetness. The wines very clearly reflect the know-how handed down from one generation to the next with an enduring love of wine. They are all perfectly balanced, rich and wonderfully aromatic.
