A volcanic white from the Cyclades defined by delicious citrus and white flower notes, promising several fine years of ageing.
More infoThe goblet-trained Muscat à Petits Grains vines are rooted in volcanic, basaltic and sandy soils rich in minerals. This composition imparts saline minerality and lively structure, while promoting high aromatic concentration and naturally balanced acidity. After manual harvests, the grapes are destemmed before maceration, followed gentle crushing to release the free-run juice, which then ferments without pump-overs. Only a light settling and topping-up are carried out. Vinification unfolds partly in 500-litre Stockinger casks and partly in 5,000-litre stainless-steel vats. Bottling is done without fining or filtration.
The wine shows a bright, clear, pale yellow hue. The nose is marked by citrus and white flower aromatics, lifted by an iodised, mineral edge. On the palate, a vivid, lively attack is driven by saline acidity and a silky texture. Flavours of candied lemon, white peach and flint weave through a long, fresh and vibrant finish.
