Crozes-Hermitage Perles Noires Jean Esprit 2022

The Syrah vines, averaging some forty years, nestle in the southern part of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, on soils mainly consisting of clay and limestone. The west-facing vineyard benefits from the perfect amount of sunshine for the Syrah grapes to attain optimum ripeness. The harvested grapes are meticulously sorted and fermented in truncated-cone stainless steel vats. The red wine is carefully aged in new barrels and barrels having contained several wines for 12 months before bottling.
The ruby-red colour promises a highly expressive bouquet. The nose is indeed characterised by intense red fruit aromas. The silky, velvety palate, typical of Rhône Valley Syrah wines, reveals a splendid balance of delicacy and structure, culminating in a subtly woody, liquorice finish. This red wine promises long, delicious ageing potential.
