More infoCommended by professional critics, this blend of Zinfandel, Syrah, Carignan and Mataro develops a rich aromatic bouquet marked by notes of prune, ripe fruits and liquorice. Its tannic structure gives it nice volume and makes it a good accompaniment for dishes of red meat in sauce. To create it, the domain opted for harvests by hand, destemming, and fermentation with indigenous yeasts. It was matured in barrels.

At 800m of altitude, Ridge Vineyards is the highest vineyard in California. This parcel is ideally situated: east-facing and protected from the violent wines of the Pacific. Its altitude also lends a pleasant nighttime coolness allowing the grapes to reach perfect ripeness.
