Château Croix des Rouzes 1996
The wine
The Château Croix des Rouzes is a fruity and pleasant Pomerol after aging for 6 to 15 years. The bouquet expresses ripe fruits (blackcurrant, raspberry). The palate is elegant, smooth and silky. The stretch is superb.
Château Croix des Rouzes has 3.7 hectares of vines, planted in a soil rich in ancient sand, on subsoil that contains iron residues. Manual harvests are followed by 12 months of ageing in new oak barrels.
