The wine

This Champagne is a 100% Chardonnay Blanc de Blancs from the prestigious terroir of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. The parcel behind Vibration ML rests on calcareous-colluvial soils that give the Chardonnay salinity, mineral precision and refined aromatic finesse. In the winery, alcoholic fermentation takes place in 300- and 600-litre casks with native yeasts. The wine is then carefully aged for ten months in casks. The second fermentation follows with 42 months of ageing on laths.
In the glass, this Champagne displays a pale golden hue, lifted by a delicate and persistent bead. The expressive, complex bouquet reveals intense aromas of ripe citrus, candied lemon and ripe apple, with touches of brioche. On the palate, a clean, saline attack reveals a delicate bead, leading into a long, clean and deliciously fruit-filled finish.

Elise Bougy, a spirited and passionate winemaker was barely 35 when she took over the Champagne vineyards passed down in her family since 1920. There, she carefully preserves the traditional methods inherited from her family, while infusing them with a modern edge. Looking to the future and committed to the environment, the estate is in the process of converting to organic and biodynamic farming. The majority of the vineyard, covering three hectares, lies at the foot of the Reims Mountain, in the Premier Cru village of Les Mesneux, while a third of the vines are planted in the Chétillons terroir. In 2011, Elise Bougy founded Les Pétillantes du Vin, an organisation that aims to share her passion for the sector and her knowledge of wine with women, while helping them to set up their own businesses. Her desire and the joy of imparting her knowledge have encouraged her to further develop her skills and to persevere in her firm environmental commitment.
