The wine

A Gewürztraminer produced acording to organic methods. This cuvée reveals a powerful aromatic profile typical of this grape variety: rose, spice, exotic fruit delight in the mouth, lifted by a fine acidity. It pairs beautifully with local strong cheeses such as Munster, or spicy Thai cuisine.

Since 1992 Felix Meyer has lead his family domaine to the top of the Alsace winemaking hierarchy. His Katzenhal domaine features the best of his numerous parcels and his Gewürztraminer is astoundingly good. There are also parcels of the little-known, but outstanding, Grand Cru Wineck-Schlossberg here, which produces great dry, fresh Rieslings and their range of Pinot Noir is also of the highest quality. This is an organically farmed domaine, producing perfectly balanced wines from one vintage to the next.
