Cognac AE DOR Grande Champagne Hors d'âge Réserve n°7 42°
The wine
The "Part des Anges" ["Angels' Share"] is the poetic term used to describe the evaporation that occurs when Cognac is left to age in barrels. The term now refers to a yearly gathering, bringing the men and women of Cognac together for a charity event.
This year, the "Fée du Paradis" is representing the 4th edition of an event that was founded by the Interprofession du Cognac in 2006.
This auction sale offers collectors the opportunity to bid on truly exceptional, even unique, bottles of Cognac offered up by generous donors. Profit from sales will be donated to the Fondation de France.
Selected by Mr DENIEUL DOR, this rare reserve wine is exceptional in terms of its age and qualities, and is a prize limited to a handful of demijohns. After more than 50 years in barrels, the wine is bottled. It has alcohol content levels of 40% due to a very extensive ageing period and the ensuing evaporation. Its characteristic "rancio" taste is highly sought after by connoisseurs - it is proof of its authenticity and is the perfect illustration of its character. This very old n°9 reserve wine is a part of our "Paradis" collection alongside our famous very old Grands Champagnes from the last century. We deemed it the perfect addition to our collection.
