Truly mouth-watering and well-balanced, this wine is like a basket of red fruit. Its freshness and its digestible nature make it perfect for meals with friends.
More infoThis cuvée was made from growing grape varieties using environmentally respectful methods. Farming is therefore HVE certified and Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon benefit from the influence of the clay-limestone soil. On tasting, it offers up a ruby hue which exudes fresh and mouth-watering notes of red and black fruit. Its soft and silky tannins allow beautiful gastro pairings with tender and tasty meat.
About the Producer Château de La Rivière
Château de la Rivière, which takes its name from the adjoining Dordogne, has a rich history. Not only does the vineyard date back to medieval times, the Château was also embroiled in the numerous conflicts of the Hundred Years War. Charlemagne built a defensive fort here; the property was subsequently owned by the de l'Isle family, and in 1577 Gaston de l'Isle, the mayor of Bordeaux, built the château as it stands today.
James Grégoire took over the property in 2003, assisted by the oenologist Claude Gros. His intention is to continue making the wines that have earned Château La Rivière its excellent reputation.
