More info

The Chardonnay grapes in this Corton Charlemagne are harvested by hand, de-stemmed, pressed, and fermented in new demi-muids barrels. The wine is then matured for between six and twelve months in third-fill demi-muids. If you leave this wine to age a while it will reveal an extraordinary level of delicacy and an irresistibly complex and full aromatic bouquet. Alongside its notes of butter and honey, evidence of its time in wood, the wine reveals hints of baked apple, citrus and exotic fruits, sweet spice, white flowers, white truffles and a touch of the mineral. The concentrated and well balanced palate calls for pairing with fine foods such as foie gras or lobster.
