The grape varieties are grown in a range of soils including pudding stones, limestone, sand and clay. The vineyard reaps the benefits of the Mediterranean climate and its famous Mistral winds. The bouquet is initially subtle, then reveals notes of ripe fruit (plums, citrus peel). The secondary aromas reveal more complex notes of spices, cocoa, aromatic herbs and menthol. The palate opens with breadth and generosity. The same fruity, spicy notes are revisited, ending with mellow tannins. This is a wine with control and energy to spare.
