More info

The Vigne Ped cuvée is produced from Nebbiolo grapes grown on the Mosconi terroir, nestling at an altitude of around 360 metres in the heart of the commune of Monforte d’Alba. The vines, averaging around sixty years old, benefit from an ideal southern exposure on soils consisting of clay, silt and sand. The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected once they have reached peak ripeness. The fruit then undergoes maceration in horizontal stainless steel vats for two weeks. Alcoholic fermentation is triggered spontaneously by native yeasts. Lastly, the cuvée is aged for 24 months in French oak casks. The ruby-red colour reveals a complex and rich bouquet characterised by expressive notes of red fruit. A superb tannic structure emerges in the mouth, complemented by impeccable balance and fine acidity, culminating in a persistent, intense and deep finish.
