This red wine is lovingly produced by the Cascina Fontanan estate in Italy from Dolcetto vines nestling in the heart of Piedmont. The slopes of Las Langhe shelter vines planted on the region’s typical grey and white marl soil. To capture the purest expression of the terroir in a classic cuvée, each parcel is cultivated responsibly. The grapes are hand-picked when they reach peak ripeness. The vinification process is performed in stainless steel vats with indigenous yeasts. The cuvée is matured for a year before being bottled without clarification, filtration or added sulphur.
The ruby-red colour reveals a juicy nose, characterised by complex aromas of wild red fruit. The fresh and elegant palate reveals smooth tannins leading to a persistent, slightly saline finish.
