Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes Cordier Père et Fils (Domaine) 2005
The wine
Christophe and his father Roger Cordier have, in the space of just a few years, created one of the most emblematic domains of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. This cuvée is produced from old vines of Chardonnay that are grown in the most natural way possible. The grapes are harvested by hand and the whole bunches are gently pressed. The wine is then raised on lees in barrels for 12 months. This floral and minty Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes from Domaine Cordier is a mouthwatering wine with an impressively long finish and very present mouthfeel. A Chardonnay that is at once lively and voluptuous, offering great saline precision. Lovely notes of white fruits and a buttery touch emanate from this golden-coloured wine. This cuvée will pair perfectly with the following dishes: chicken in a cream sauce, mullet or goat’s cheese.
