The wine

Romain Paire named this Gamay Saint Romain cuvée which he grows on granitic soils using biodynamic methods. After a carefully sorted manual harvest, he vinified the harvest which is ¾ destemmed, a maceration of over two weeks and aging of eleven months in non-new barrels. When tasting, the wine charms us with its concentration and its complexity. We therefore find notes of ripe fruit and mild spices. Both ample and refined, it will work wonders paired with bountiful, lavish dishes.

About the Producer Domaine des Pothiers

This is an unmissable domain that has been making a name for itself in recent years. Far from prestigious sites of the Loire, Romain Paire has made it his mission to lift the Côte Roannaise to the heights of the region. His father developed the domain in the 1970s. When he arrived in 2005, he decided to renovate the winery and convert the 10 hectares of vines to organic and biodynamic viticulture. His wines are sought-after for their structure and balance.
