A Knockando 12 year old distilled in 2000. Ever since the early 1970s, Knockando has bottled its 12 year old and—somewhat unusually—stated the year of distillation on the label. For some versions, only the year of distillation is stated, with no age statement for the whisky itself.

Its single malt perfectly embodies the Auld Alliance between France and Scotland, even adopting certain practices from the world of wine and cognac, such as the “Extra Old” appellation and vintage.
