Château Grand Village 2010
The wine
Its deep tone and complex, intense nose reveal aromas of warmed, red fruits, spices and leather. Its palate is full-bodied and carries a pleasant freshness that balances the whole. Think of opening it a while before serving.
About the Producer Château Grand Village
Château Grand Village is nestled in the heart of the Bordeaux winegrowing landscape, in Mouillac, alongside some of the region’s finest appellations. Sylvie and Jacques Guinaudeau took over the domain in 1979 and cultivate the 15 hectares of vines on clay-limestone soils with great passion. Helped by their son Baptiste and his wife Julie, they apply sustainable farming practices in the vineyards. Aware of today’s environmental challenges and with a view to protecting biodiversity, they cultivate each parcel with unique care, according to their needs, to allow each parcel to express its personality. Unsurprisingly, in the winery, vinification involves very little intervention, and sulphur is added in minute quantities to allow the fruit to fully express all its aromas naturally. It is in this privileged and authentic context that the domain produces exceptional vintages, reflecting a unique terroir sublimated by meticulous traditional expertise.
