The wine

This is the second bottling in the co-bottling venture between Velier and the Isautier distillery. This small batch of three barrels sees the traditional molasses rum aged in three different types of wood, spending 2007 to 2009 in new oak, 2009 to 2019 in cognac casks and 2019 to 2021 in Isautier casks. A limited edition of 991 bottles.

About the Producer Isautier

Isautier is proud to be Réunion Island’s oldest rum distillery, founded in 1845 under the reign of King Louis Philippe I after the king and Charles Isautier fell in love with the island and sugar cane. Six generations have taken over at the helm, in the process developing the business’ international scope. The trademark triangular bottle was created in 1910, quickly becoming an inseparable symbol of the brand. In 1970, Isautier launched its first flavoured rum made from spices, leaves and peels.
