Information
The "Part des Anges" ["Angels' Share"] is the poetic term used to describe the evaporation that occurs when Cognac is left to age in barrels. The term now refers to a yearly gathering, bringing the men and women of Cognac together for a charity event.
This year, the "Fée du Paradis" is representing the 4th edition of an event that was founded by the Interprofession du Cognac in 2006.
This auction sale offers collectors the opportunity to bid on truly exceptional, even unique, bottles of Cognac offered up by generous donors. Profit from sales will be donated to the Fondation de France.
Drawing on several decades of experience, the Fussigny estate has selected a broad range of vintage Cognacs known for their perfect balance and aromatic concentration. We chose the 1973 vintage that had been aged in a Grand Champagne cellar with high humidity levels. In order to enhance the intensity of its aromatic qualities, the vintage is bottled at 43°. It reveals profound nuances of spiced white pepper and nutmeg aromas, as well as notes of candied fruit and honey, vanilla and cigar box, with an intense finish in which an extremely refined rancio note dominates. It also boasts great length on the palate.
