    Information
    About the producer

Léopold Gourmel cognacs are named after the grandfather of the house's founder Pierre Voisin, who wanted to pay tribute to his ancestor who was a wine-grower and saddler on Ile de Ré in the 19th century. The estate is today located in Fins Bois, one of the largest crus in the appellation, surrounding Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Les Borderies. The wines are aged on their lees before being distilled according to the house's unique style. The cognacs are then aged in century-old fine grain casks before being bottled without chill-filtration or colouring.

    About the wine

The "Part des Anges" ["Angels' Share"] is the poetic term used to describe the evaporation that occurs when Cognac is left to age in barrels. The term now refers to a yearly gathering, bringing the men and women of Cognac together for a charity event.
This year, the "Fée du Paradis" is representing the 4th edition of an event that was founded by the Interprofession du Cognac in 2006.
This auction sale offers collectors the opportunity to bid on truly exceptional, even unique, bottles of Cognac offered up by generous donors. Profit from sales will be donated to the Fondation de France.

A shimmery, radiant golden hue. A delicate, extremely fine nose, combining fruity notes of dried apricot and white peaches. A few very fine notes of mellow spices, cinnamon and vanilla, as well as fragrances of bergamot tea. A very supple opening on the palate gently gives way to a generous, full-bodied structure, where the velvety smoothness of apricot nectar emerges in combination with woody notes that are perfectly blended. An exotic aspect with wonderful, mellow spices, enhanced by notes of camphorwood and menthol. The finish prolongs the delicate sense of fullness and balance of this Petite Champagne naturally reduced through a long ageing process carried out in humid cellars.
