Information
Maison Agrapart & Fils, founded in Avize in the late 19th century, now extends over twelve hectares on the Côte des Blancs, eight of which are classified as grand cru. A family farm, it has maintained the status of récoltant manipulant. On a vineyard with 65 parcels, the vines (Chardonnay alone) are on average 40 years old. This very fine domain is particularly popular with wine lovers and is gaining fame: the cuvées produced by this sought-after maison are increasingly difficult to find! They stand out for their great finesse, mainly thanks to the low dosage and the fine minerality of the wines.
This wine brings together outstanding Grand Cru terroirs – Avize, Oger, Cramant and Oiry – in a pure 100% Chardonnay expression. The grapes come from vines over 50 years old and are harvested by hand. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation before being aged on its lees for a minimum of 4 years, with a restrained dosage of 5 g/l, placing it firmly in the Extra-Brut category.
An effortlessly drinkable Champagne, best enjoyed in its youth, offering beguiling aromas of white fruits and a finely textured mousse. Ideal as an aperitif, it is equally at ease at the table.
